The Children's Ministry began in 2013 in the village of Wembo Nyama with 35 children and 3 volunteer teachers. As of 2022, the program has expanded to include over 5000 children in and around Wembo Nyama, as well as other villages in Sankuru. The directors offer tutoring and leadership training to UM Churches who share an interest in providing Christian teaching opportunities for their children. 

The children gathered to thank the missionaries Donna and Jonathan Baker for delivering the amazing gifts from Kent Island UMC. Soccer balls, frisbees, basketballs and resourced needed for the children to create puppets to reenact Bible passages. The children took turns sharing their favorite Bible passages!
